The Wedding Nearly No One Dreams Of
by Margaret Wight
A wedding breeds excitement and romance in the air. A white dress, matching rings, and a bride so fair. This wedding though, this wedding is but a joke. Rice Krispie treat cake, plaid and jean clad folk. The colors are purple and yellow, Offset by the wanted poster of the bride and her fellow. Stick horses and the William Tell Overture, This wedding is fast losing its allure. Rings are brought up to the wooden archway, By pretend outlaws trying to get away. In purple and jeans comes the bride, The crowd, shocked, their eyes open wide. It’s a bit of a farce, all fun and game, With only the bride and her groom to blame. |
